Chad has over 18 years
of teaching Chemistry
and has taught over
25,000 students across
Canada. He is clear,
concise, and knows
your course inside-out.
These webinars are
designed to give you
the tools to do well in
your course. They will
save you time, keep
you on track in the
course and they make
learning Chemistry fun!
Each webinar reviews
important key
concepts from each
module with a
customized booklet
and access to
annotations. We go
through strategies on
how to approach and
solve test problems.
Courses offered virtually!
Organic Chemistry II (Chem282) at Queens builds upon Chem281. Students are expected to understand the fundamentals of functional group transformation and how to synthesize organic molecules in 1-2 synthetic steps. Come join us review the key concepts from each module and how to tackle Organic Chemistry problems. This course starts with aromatic compounds (electrophilic aromatic substitution) and then quickly transitions to oxidation and reduction reactions (interconversion of alcohols/aldehyde/ketone/carboxylic acids). We will learn how to use protecting groups in organic synthesis and how to select which reagents to use to best synthesis the product.
Organic Chemistry (Chem281) at Queens is a challenging course but it doesn’t have to be the “GPA killer”. Come join us to review the key concepts from each module and how to tackle Organic Chemistry problems. This course starts with a review of introductory material (resonance structures, hybridization, organic mechanisms) but quickly transitions to stereochemistry (isomers) and organic reactions. We will learn how to do functional group transformation and convert a reactant to a product in multi-step synthesis.
General Chemistry (Chem112, Chem113/114) at Queens is a course that covers a lot of different units, including thermodynamics, equilibrium, acids bases and buffers, chemical kinetics and molecules (Lewis structures, VSEPR, hybridization, polarity and molecular orbital theory). Come join us to review the key concepts from each module and how to tackle different test questions.
General Chemistry II (Chem120) at McGill is a course that covers a lot of different units, including thermochemistry, chemical kinetics, equilibrium, acids bases and buffers, and electrochemistry. This course involves much more calculations than Chem110. Come join us to review the key concepts from each module and how to tackle different test questions.
